What Is A Drift

A drift is a precision machined cylinder that is pulled, pushed or dropped through an oilfield pipe to qualify proper internal clearance and in many cases to qualify ovality and straightness of the tube as well.

The most common drifts are made of steel, but in some applications drifts made of aluminum or non metallic material are required.

Drifts are manufactured to API 5CT specifications. We do manufacture to customer specifications when requested.
